Jim was born May 17, 1947. Jim started his Kyokushinkai Karate journey on March 25, 1964 by writing a letter to Charles Gruzanski. In 1964 he held a Brown Belt in Shotokan Karate and wanted to change and work towards a Black Belt in Kyokushinkai.
