A rare original edition of the July 26, 1950 issue of Asahigraph (アサヒグラフ) weekly photographic magazine.
This issue is highly significant for martial arts historians as it contains a rare, detailed 2-page photographic feature on Fujita Seiko (藤田西湖), famously known as the 14th Headmaster of Kōga-ryū Ninjutsu and the “Last Koga Ninja.”
Titled “声はすれども姿は見えず” (I hear the voice, but see no form), the spread documents a series of physical feats, stealth concepts, and training demonstrations presented by Fujita to the press during the postwar revival period of martial arts media. The front cover of this issue features prominent Shingeki stage and film actress Chieko Higashiyama.
